I'm reading this on my Kindle. Every day I read a short chapter and look for ways to incorporate this advice into my life. I like that he doesn't go into too much detail. He provides the footnotes if you care to follow up and probably has written or is writing a full explanation of all of it!
Covers every area of lifestyle that one should pay attention to for optimal health. Quotes from the latest studies on each topic. Each chapter is short, filled with excellent advice based on evidence-based medicine, and ends with references to the studies for further review. This is a quick read, but a powerful one.
I did a lot of research about nutrition, then I found this book where the work was all done for me. It is refreshing to find a doctor that wants us to get healthy through whole foods and proper exercise and avoid all the medications and all their side effects. The change in diet is easier than you think and becomes a lifestyle. Wholefoods are very tasty, especially when you eliminate the sugar. Everything else taste better after the sugar has is avoided.. I've got a sweet tooth and get chocolate cravings, but after being on a whole food diet, I don't get those cravings. I think this should be taught in schools. A good foundation can last a lifetime.I do have a spurge day once in a while, but get right back to healthy foods and am happy to do it. This book makes it easier. It is more of a pamphlet, so it's a quick read.
I recommend this book for anyone looking to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Talks about many alternatives to chose from in food choices..
