I had read excerpts from this book on the Mother Earth News website, and found the information interesting and helpful, so I bought the book. The book is very user friendly and provides a good understanding of the process of heating with wood, from understanding types of wood and their heat value, to how wood dries & burns, to splitting and stacking. There are good chapters on types of burning appliances (wood stoves, fireplaces & inserts, pellet stoves, etc.), safe installation, how a chimney functions, how to start a fire, and other practical information. It would be very helpful for someone starting out heating with wood, and there is useful information for the experienced wood burner. Even though I have been heating with wood for over 30 years, I learned a few things, and found this book to have very good info all in one place.I would have given it 5 stars, except for two things - the author provides a formula to figure out the full cost per cord of wood that may be sold in other volumes, such as face cords, stove cords, etc., yet his math doesn't add up. The formula basically tells you what factor to multiply the cost of the non-standard cord by, to get the cost of a full cord. But in the examples, he seems to multiply twice. For example, if the non-standard cord is determined to be 1/3 the size of a full cord (e.g. for $95), you have to multiply the cost by 3 to get the "real" cost of a full cord ($285). Which makes sense. But then, he says that since you need to buy three of the non-standard cords to make up a full cord, you would multiply the $285 by 3 to get $855 a cord. That doesn't make sense. But the formula itself is helpful, as long as you don't multiply twice.The other part I though was weak was chapter 7, the product guide. He only mentions a few products (3 or 4) in each category. He only mentions a couple of brands, instead of the multiple brands that are readily sold and available in the US and Canada. I've bought and researched many wood stoves (owned 5 different brands over the years) and some very reputable brands are not even mentioned. It would have been better to either leave out this chapter, or beef it up with more of the available brands, options and styles.Otherwise, a very informative book. Glad I purchased it. Currently burning a Jøtul F 500 Oslo, and an Avalon Rainier.

You may not like all of the opinions expressed by the author (I didn't), but all of his facts and details were correct. If you are considering wood as a heat source, you should study this book.

Great book on your wood stove and ally you need to know to be successful.

This is a pretty good book for someone new to heating with wood, or thinking about using wood to heat. It calls out some pros and cons of each wood heating appliance, points out that many like a traditional fireplace just aren't very efficient, and some of the troubles of dealing with wood such as storing it, keeping it dry, and the costs of buying a cord of wood.But we've been heating partially to fully with wood for 8 years now, burning 3-5 cords of local pine and fire in our Quadrafire woodstove, and there just wasn't much info in it to someone who has been using wood for a few years. There were a couple glaring mistakes, namely the cord wood conversion example, and one stove pipe limit of 8 feet vs the multiple other references of 10 feet. Personally I felt the add-on sections of wood species and appliance examples were poor and seemed just to be some data as filler, but part of that was that none of the tree types were on the US West coast, instead focused on the East coast and Eastern Canada. That said, it was nice to see a few pricing examples of different types, just to get an order of magnitude on the cost.I would have liked to see a few other things listed, like cutting wood and where to get wood for cheap or free. To me, if looking for some financial benefit from heating with wood, you can't be paying retail for firewood. But there are lots of places to get firewood for cheap or even free, as long as you don't mind putting in some work. (see tree services, neighbors, power companies, state lands, and the forest service)Overall it was a good book, and a quick read for me from the library. I think it would be great for someone new to the activity, but for me about the only thing I gained was a confirmation of the top-down fire method that was called out in "the 4-hour chef".

For those of you with daughters looking for books with strong, memorable female characters, Gooney Bird Greene is a must read series. We borrowed this book from the library initially, and enjoyed it so much we bought a copy for my daughter's 3rd grade class, along with 8 dictionaries for the third graders to use. Not only is it an enjoyable story for the first- to third-grade age range, it also motivates them to learn how to use a dictionary. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the story is not quite as strong as the first book, but it is still an enjoyable read.Additionally, it has a surprise ending that got me choked up, and when I checked to see how my daughter's teacher liked it, she had also been surprised and choked up by the ending.Lastly, it wasn't until we picked up some other books by Lois Lowry that we discovered she has won a couple Newbery awards for other books she has written.

I bought this book for my 7 year old daughter to read and she finished all but the last chapter in one sitting! It is sometimes very difficult to find a series that she enjoys enough to read of her own accord, and this one has definitely been her favourite so far.This is her 3rd Gooney Bird book, and she will get her fourth one in her Christmas stocking, which I know she will be thrilled to receive. We first discovered Lois Lowry's funny and engaging books about a quirky and very likeable 2nd grade little girl, unusually named Gooney Bird, when I bought one on a Kindle daily deal, and now I wish the author had written more!When I asked my daughter if she used the Kindle dictionary to look up any words that she didn't know, she told me that she didn't need to, because all of the hard words' definitions were explained to Gooney Bird's class as part of the story! Hopefully the book will have the added benefit of increasing her vocabulary!

Not as great as Gooney Bird Greene, Gooney Bird the Absurd or Gooney Bird the Fabulous. Those others had great wit, lessons on writing stories, fables, and poetry. This one had a weak plot, and some unsavory remarks about stinky socks, unlike in the other books where the children were always supportive of one another.

My Grandson wanted Chapter Books and this is what chose.

Just the book I needed.

gooney bird and the room mother was the best book i have ever read in my whole life. my favorite part was when the room mother said happy thanksgiving. (This was read and written by my seven year old granddaughter who reads on my Kindle often.)

I teach first grade and read Gooney Bird books aloud to my class. We love the books. We all know these are works of fiction and that classrooms in real life don't work like Gooney Bird's. We are drawn to Gooney Bird's big heart and confidence.

Overall, it is a good book for middle and high school students as well as non-native English speakers. There is not enough material to fully prepare students for the exams/tests, but it will certainly improve the vocabulary and teach some expressions Here are the pros and cons of the book.Pros:- I liked the structure of the book. The lessons are divided by weeks and days. So, if a student is determined to study every day, the books will support his/her goal.- The new words are great. The authors actually focus on teaching the words that are not widely used. Here are some examples: "benevolent", "tenacious", "viable", "introspective", "omnivorous", "saturate", "complicity", etc.- There are sample sentences with blank spaces, where a learner is offered to place the new words.- Every lesson also has a section called "Todays' Idiom" with an explanation and a sample sentence. Here are some idioms used in the book: "to play possum", "on the spur of the moment", "to spill the beans", "like Caesar's wife", "to take by storm", "by hook or by crook", "Achilles heel", etc. As you can imagine, with 46 weeks of study (5 lessons in each), there are a lot of idioms!- There is a summary exercise at the end of each week. All answers are provided at the end of the book.Cons:- I was surprised that there are no definitions provided. They just throw words at you - go figure what does "alleviate" or "vindicate" mean. The spelling is there, but no definitions. I assume that it's easier to use a Kindle version of the book, where you can highlight a word and using the Internet, read the actual meaning of it. On the other hand, exercises are probably better in the printed version of the book - you can write the answers in the spaces provided.For non-native English speakers: This is not the only books that you will need to improve your English language skills. You may also want to check out these books on Amazon: "McGraw-Hill Handbook of English Grammar and Usage", "Everybody writes" by Ann Handley, "How to say it" by Maggie Rosalio, "Barron's Dictionary of American Idioms", "American Accent Training" by Ann Cook, "The blue book of grammar and punctuation", and "English the American Way: A Fun ESL Guide".

I bought this in Jan/2015 as an adjunct to the latest (6th) edition of the book by the same name (1100 Words You Need to Know). I have the box set published on July/2014.The good:(1) the cards are cleverly designed with 2 words on each card.(2) it is supposed to correlate with the book for an additional layer of review.The Bad:(1) the paper is thin, flimsy, and thus these cards won't last very long with much handling. We have 4 vocabulary students in our house, and this set probably can't take that much use! An "organizer" ring is included, but with the thin paper, I anticipate the punched out hole on each card will rip easy. Lamination is an option, as another reviewer suggested. But this means more work, and more $$$.(2) I thought that by buying the latest book, and the latest vocab box set that they would match. But, already, week 1, day 2, I have found that they don't correlate (book: "technology"; cards: "etiology"). I wonder how many other words on other study days won't correlate?Conclusion:This product just doesn't seem yet ready for primetime. Be wary of buying it unless Barron's makes the cards more sturdy, and ensures that the card list matches up with the book list.

Extremely disappointed that definitions ARE NOT INCLUDED. Seriously? So I hand this to my teenager, and he has to use his smartphone to look up the detailed definitions. Why in the name of XXX are detailed definitions not included? Synonyms are NOT definitions. Sheesh.

This is a classic case of quantity trumping quality. First, the definitions are usually spartan, often (but not always) encompassing no more than one-to-three words. Most words have various nuances in meanings, and SAT often cleverly tests knowledge of words beyond the simple "sound-bite" definitions often presented here. Second, only a single definition is usually provided for words with multiple, separate meanings. A good example is the word "countenance," which is defined in dictionaries as either "appearance," or "tolerate." In these cards, only the "tolerate" definition is offered. Imagine the student smugly confident that he's mastered the definition of this word going into the SAT exam, only to find that SAT chooses the "appearance" definition rather than the "tolerate" definition presented in these cards. I could cite dozens of similar examples. Third, synonyms are not listed, except occasionally in the definitions. Here again, SAT often goes with synonyms rather than with the "headline" definitions. Finally, with some words, I have found incorrect pronunciation guides (I checked three separate online dictionaries, none of which offered similar pronunciation). I also found one word (in a definition) misspelled -- totally inexcusable in a product of this nature. However, I do laud the fact that the sample sentences given here often incorporate other words in the deck. For those seeking to beef up their vocabulary, I suggest the far superior Princeton Review products. For those wishing to stick to flash cards, the Manhattan Prep flashcards, while not offering as many words, are vastly superior, giving very detailed definitions and synonyms. The Kaplan Flip-O-Matic flashcards, while inferior to the Manhattan Prep flashcards, also better the Barron's Flashcards.

About the Author

Professor Peng Yuan is a professor at Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)Dr Faiza Annabi-Bergaya obtained a Licence-ès-Science in Physical-Chemistry from the University of Tunis in 1966, a first PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 1971 from University La Sorbonne-Paris VI and a second PhD in Physics in 1978 from the University of Orleans (France). She started her career in 1971 at the CNRS from which she is presently Emeritus Research Director. Her research interest is focused on the Physics and Chemistry of clays and clay minerals. She is member of the AIPEA Nomenclature Committee. She was Secretary of the ECGA in 1999-2003. As President of the GFA (French Clay Group) in 2003-2007, she created the annual meetings of the GFA, organizing the first two meetings in Orleans. She launched the Series Developments in Clay Science with the publication in 2006 of Volume 1 (Handbook of Clay Science) and she is Series Editor since 2013. She is Editor-in-Chief of Applied Clay Science since 2012.

This book is absolutely a must buy for parents of prospective drum musicians in elementary school. It is thorough with the background of musical beats for percussion (drums) and easy to read for any intructor or parent wanting to guide their young musicians. When finished with this dynamic book, I predict the student will be able to play (jam) to songs and obtain much enjoyment with the connection. I am an elementary school teacher who has drummed since age 12. Now in my 55+ age range, I continue to seek improvement. I sure wish this book was out when I was young. Buy it, you'll like it! Fantastic! 7-year old grandson has a drum set now and was very excited to look at the book as well as - probably more often - watch the dvd. And his non-drummer Dad/Mom/Grandparents can serve as "coaches" by using the lessons in the book [even though we're not drummers]. It's laid out really well for facilitating skills that will build on each other in time... I hunted all over looking for something like this and it looks like I found the right thing. I ordered this book after attending a drum clinic by Rich Redmond. I can assure you this book is not just for kids. Carney gives rigorous political and social analysis a heartbeat and human warmth that is inspiring. I feel like I understand my own community better after reading his book. I take my social connections less for granted and feel more committed to my book club and girls nights. He shows how human connections make America and, more importantly Americans, more prosperous and happy. If you are worried about pervasive, hateful rhetoric on the internet or polarizing news coverage and want to know how things could actually get better, read this. Seriously.

You don’t have to be a political analyst or a politics junky to get a lot out of this book. Carney has spun all of those clunky statistics into a moving story and opened a window into a world that many of us struggle to understand.

Nothing brilliant here. The writing is tolerable, but this just struck me as the kind of fodder writing you'd find laying around a church lobby. No real substance to it beyond decrying how people don't go to church anymore and all of us heathens are getting our due.

This book is not a political polemic designed to excite either red team or blue team fevers. Rather, it is a serious attempt to understand what has been happening to a new emerging underclass that is easily missed by those of us fortunate enough to inhabit reasonably healthy communities. Carney calls on a rich combination of current and classic research and observations and combines them with his reporter’s skill for the concise interview and the illustrative anecdote. The alienated subjects of this book are found in the precincts, towns and counties that voted strongly for Trump in the early Republican primaries. Carney compares them with equally conservative areas that, while they may have voted for Trump against Hillary, decidedly favored his opponents when they had a choice of other Republican candidates. In essence, the early pro-Trump precincts are generally characterized by a lack of social capital: the absence of strong “middle institutions” such as churches, service organizations and sports, as well as low rates of marriage and family formation. It is in these precincts that the Trump message of “Make America Great Again” and it’s corollary, “the American Dream is dead” resonated. In contrast, the non-Trump Republican precincts tend to be cohesive communities with strong families and the high social trust that accompanies abundant middle institutions where the American Dream would seem to be alive and well.The obvious starting point in looking at the alienated communities is: “the factory closed”. Well, yes it did, but the problem is not entirely economic. The problem appears to be that when the factory closed the surrounding area could no longer support the diners, the churches, the service organizations and even some schools—places where people could come together and interact in a meaningful way. This is the headline, if you will. Carney dives into how it happened over time (it wasn’t instant – factories have been closing for decades) and he addresses the micro- and macro- level causes and effects. He does this without looking for villains and victims—he just seems to be looking for facts and trends. A couple of examples: When working class generations of males (in particular) lose their factory jobs, they lose more than the paychecks; "[The] skills of the unskilled factory job are the skills of marriage and fatherhood." By this he means consistency, reliability and patience. On a more macro level, neighborhoods are far less economically diverse than they were a half century ago as what Charles Murray describes as “the college sorting machine” has worked to concentrate potential community leaders in upscale neighborhoods, depriving many working-class neighborhoods of these talents.Conservative, liberal and libertarian readers will each find one or more of their sacred beliefs challenged by the research here and that is probably a good thing. For example: the conservative likely won’t care for the debunking of the notion that the poor behaviors of the working class are due to character flaws or the documentation of the decline in class mobility; the liberal won’t appreciate the discussion of the role of government in crowding out the middle institutions; and the libertarian will not be comfortable with the discussion of the role of “hyper-individualism” in upending the socially cohesive belief in “serial immortality” (which is why a soldier sacrifices for country and parents sacrifice for their children).This book needs to be approached with an open mind, capable of setting aside prejudicial notions and biases. Books like this are especially valuable for the thoughtful way in which they dissect and present the elements of our current dysfunction. That said, Carney does point out some very high functioning communities and models—some wealthy, some not. Throughout he demonstrates the critical nature of the middle institutions and the manner in which they currently define what we like to call “American Exceptionalism”. They always have done so. The book includes some insightful quotes from Alexis de Toqueville’s “Democracy in America” (which a shockingly small number of Americans have even heard about, let alone read—although they should). Among them, from 185 years ago: "There is nothing, according to me, that deserves more to attract our regard than the intellectual and moral associations of America."The solution chapter is the shortest, as is common with objective books like this. It is the partisan tomes that claim to have all the answers. Another complementary volume would be Michael Tanner’s “The Inclusive Economy” which is a more broad-based look at the structures that work to keep the poor in poverty.My hope is that if enough people read and think about books like these, we can begin to stop vilifying each other and have some constructive dialogue leading to positive behavioral and social change—one small group at a time.

Therefore, Americans might feel better by participating in some religious undertaking like a Hajj. The answer to the problem of Trump country is to join a church or club. If Trump voters joined churches and Rotary Clubs, they might vote for Romney next time. If you like a book that talks down to you, this book is for you.

My son has already found great use of this well written physics book. He is in an AP physics class in 10th grade this year and is able to use this book to further explain the depth of the math associated with his homework.With the disaster known as common core implimendted into the schools there seems to be a shortage in literature to study from. I like this book because it cuts right to the chase and offers examples and a workflow that he can formulate into his own work.If you need to supplement more litterateur into your child's studies I recommend the essential series books for "dummies". It's an incredibly useful tool and works like a subject specific encyclopedia where they can reference the table of contents and match it up to their exact needs in the subject.I did not receive any sort of discount or free item for my honest review. I'm just a consumer looking out for the interest of my children's continued growth and knowledge base.

I bought this book becasue my son was learning some physics in the 8th grade. He was solving problems involving bodies in motion. I have two engineering degrees from the mid 1980's, but it has been 25 years. He had questions and I was tired of going to Wikipedia. This book is a good, very basic intro many topics of high school & college physics. Pretty Decent on the qualitative explanations of concepts, some rather simple math is introduced, nothing much past basic trig or geometry.If you are looking for calculus based physics, or in depth analysis, this is not for you. I wish is had more worked out examples, but maybe that is just the engineer in me. As in intro for those who have a passing interest or those who want to be able to hold a conversation with high schoolers, it is just fine. If you are more into the classic academic approach (lecture from a textbook, solve problems..., finding solutions to physics problems) this book will frustrate you. There is not enough depth for that approach. For me,and for purposes of helping my son underdtand some physics basics and how to "set up" to solve some prety basic problems about bodies in motion, it was just fine.A nice read if you have an interest in the topic. it's fine for that. Though the book is not intended as an actual textbook it provides an excellent overview of the major concepts in Physics without delving deep into the mathematics that support the concepts. A good book for adults who want a refresher course from their college days or for todays high school students starting their studies.

while this book covers some basic principles, I was hoping for more explanations of concepts like particle theory, string theory, etc. so that I might grasp the basic concepts and differences between them.

As most of the Dummies series, this book on physics is written for those who are interested in science, but not looking for deep physical theory. As part of the series of two books, this is the essential piece of science necessary to expose the basics of motion, gravity, and other physical phenomenon.

I bought this for a non-science major physics course for added help. While it did add some information that the text didn't clarify, I ended up buying an even simpler version of this book for my Kindle that was a lot less money than I paid for this book.

beautiful, beautiful art. bought this as a gift for two little girls who love to draw horses. The story is also a wonderful life lesson.A stunning example of how attitude in life makes such a difference. The girl in the story wants a pony more than anything but it just isn't possible. Even as she continues to ask, and to hope, she accepts the limitations (the cost, the care and the room a pony would take) and enjoys fantasy adventures with an imaginary pony.Sometimes dreaming and planning can be as much or more fun than the actual experience because the dream is without the effort and the expense of acquiring and maintaining.

I have enjoyed reading this story to my 4 year old, now 5 year old granddaughter who LOVES horses and can't have her own. The illustrations are gorgeous. This book is a must buy for any little girl who dreams of owning a horse.

I'm always on the lookout for the perfect book for my grandchildren. I ordered this one sight unseen for a six-year-old granddaughter who loves horses and doing art. When it arrived, I couldn't have been more pleased. Susan Jeffers tells the story of a little girl and her dream horse, Silver, and their many wonderful adventures. The girl's imagined horse becomes real through the her artwork. Just like my granddaughter. The author's note at the end explains that this is really what happened in her own childhood and was the beginning of her pursuits as an adult. Both Jeffers' text and illustations are beautiful. It is the perfect book. My granddaughter is going to love it.

My 3 year old daughter absolutely loves horses and this story quite frequently makes the bedtime rotation at our house! I like the illustrations and how it tells a story without being too wordy. She likes it so much she's memorized quite a bit of it and quotes it regularly.

Perfect book for my five year old that loves horses and insists on buying a horse every single moment. This help put an adults perspective on her level.

I had this book as a little girl and wanted to get it again for my future kids. However I mistakenly ordered a paperback version when I wanted a copy of the hardback version I had. The part that made this book great was the foldout poster on the reverse side of the slip that went on the hardback copy. That was my mistake, however the book was damaged during shipping, but it was in working condition. Amazon gave me a refund without needing to return the book. So I’ll donate it and some little girl out there will love it!

Granddaughter loves it. But, it makes her sad because I tell her the same thing. She loves horses! The illustration is wonderfull. I like the fact that the author has her dreamed for horses to ride now :-)

Lovely, dreamy quality to the illustrations and an inspiring story. This will be perfect for my granddaughter who wants, but knows she cannot have, her own horse.

I actually found PhantomRin’s art work for this book before I had ever heard of the book, and it was so gorgeous that I had to see what was so awesome about it that it deserved such gorgeous fan art. Well, I looked it up and the blurb on the back was absolutely tantalizing. How could this girl be the girl that loved the Ripper? Well, this book kept me guessing as to the culprit until the grand finale and it was jaw-dropping!First, let me tell you of the characters. Our MC is the lovely, intelligent, and ambitious Audrey Rose Wadsworth, lady of London’s high society. She’s sneakily studying with her uncle, Dr. Jonathan Wadsworth the practice of forensic science, dissections and all. This, of course, is not to the liking of her father Edmund or her brother Nathaniel who both think it’s improper for any lady, especially one of her status. Then there’s the clever, Holmesian assistant to Dr. Wadsworth, Thomas Cresswell. He’s a skilled assistant and is clearly interested in Audrey Rose for more than just her intelligence, though she doesn’t care to admit that she reciprocates. These are the main players in this literary game of CLUE, though we know where the body is and what weapon was likely used, it’s the WHO and the WHY that no one can figure out.As an assistant to her uncle, Audrey Rose is drawn in to the Ripper, or Leather Apron, investigations in a very close-up way. She’s examining these poor, butchered women firsthand and everyone from the police to her family look at her askance, as if she herself is involved in something heinous for breaking society’s rules. Admittedly, her involvement probably wouldn’t have happened in this era, but it sure makes for a story that has such an element of empowerment.

Stalking Jack the Ripper was everything and more. It's the type of book that gives a reader a funk that lasts for days. At least, it happened to me.First off, I want to praise the author's style. It pulls you in, from the very first page. It's rich and detailed, but not cluttered. It shows the author has done research before- and during writing this story. Plus, I know a thing or two about certain things mentioned in the book because I happen to have a best friend that went to med school.Moving along.Secondly, the heroine. Audrey Rose is a girl after my own heart. She's smart and stubborn and strong. She doesn't care for society and its idea of how a 'proper lady' should behave or what she should do. She doesn't care about getting married or having babies. All she wants is to assists her uncle, who happens to be a doctor. She wants to learn from him, even when everything and everyone is against it and her.I rarely come across such an awesome heroine, nowadays.The book, the story, is darker. As I said, it's detailed so even the gruesome scenes are written down without being sugarcoated. After all, it tells a version of the story we've all heard and know of. Jack the Ripper. An unknown man that killed prostitutes.I loved the story Ms. Maniscalco has woven around this dark part of history. I love how she made all the characters fit in, including our mysterious and yummy hero, Thomas. By the way, I loved their back-and-forth, it cracked me up.I loved that this story has it all. It has feels. The climax broke my heart and, even though I've had a hunch about who Jack the Ripper could be, I kept hoping I was wrong.This has made the top of my fave books list - of all time - and I cannot wait to get my hands on Hunting Prince Dracula, for more Audrey Rose & Thomas adventures!Definite reread, definite 5+++ star-rating.

Stalking Jack the Ripper the book is a fiction tale, semi using the case of Jack the Ripper, London’s most famous Serial killer.The two main characters in this book is one Audrey Rose Wadsworth,(btw Kerri, if your reading this, I love her Name.) and the other is Mr Thomas Cresswell. AudreyRose decides to do something, most would consider un-lady like of the time period and her status in society. That something turns out to be a medical examiner of sorts. She decides to study the science with her Uncle because she lost her Mum very young. So during her studies, she happens to met her Uncle intern Mr Thomas Cresswell. She learns through her Uncle and Thomas of the Jack the Ripper Murders After Audrey is invited to help in the case, all hell pretty much breaks lose. All of the clues point to people close to her. She is also slowly starting to like Thomas as more then a friend,which doesn’t help matters either. Why? because lets be real who wants to fall in love or semi love while investigating famous murder. As time goes on, Audrey Rose becomes closer to everyone possibly involved in the murder.I rated this book a 5 out of 5 stars, because it is written so well. The best way to describe the story is that it wants you to look at the murders as being a puzzle for a crime solving like a person in Forensic's would study a murder .I hope all of that makes sense but before I continue I also would like to point out that this book discusses in some detail Forensic science study of dead bodies. It is the process of a Doctor or Scientist receiving a dead body to study its organs as well as sometimes studying murders. But back in Victorian days it was Called being a Cadaver which was a way for doctors or scientist to get free bodies to study what cause a person death as well or use certain body parts . While this is discuss in the book, it is not extremely detailed to point of making someone feel sick. I am a sensitive person to these types of things and this detailed did not bother me. Now on to more details about the story itself. This story is not your standard Murder mystery in the sense that its all about the murder. This book is also about Audrey Rose becoming her own person. I also honestly couldn’t believe how funny this book was, mainly from Thomas’s point of view. Thomas tends to be the one who keeps Audrey Rose on her toes and really helps to get her to think about everything. He loves the fact that she is so well educated compare to most girls of her position and the age. He tends to use humorous flirty banter towards her whenever they are together. I can’t say enough about how much I love Thomas in this book. I also loved the cover on this book. This cover which is shown above of a woman holding a knife while wearing Steampunk victorian clothing is bloody beautiful, intriguing and inviting .I honestly can’t wait to start the next book in the series which is Hunting Prince Dracula, and it comes out in September 2017 for hardcover sell.
